Carla’s Story
Carla Nascimento grew up in Formiga, Brazil. Spending much of her childhood around family and dogs (as many as possible). Carla have lived in multiple countries pursuing what she loves the most (yes, more than dogs, but not by much), studying. She moved to Norway in 2021 to do her PhD, and only her PhD. Friends and family joked that she would find a long beard viking and get married. Even though she didn’t believe it, here we are couple years later, planning her wedding. And guess what, she loves him more than dogs.
Filip’s Story
Filip Mareno Tornes was born in Kristiansund. And moved around to a couple places while growing up before settling in Fræna. Much of his childhood was spent being outside with friends and family, exploring and being curious. During High School he moved to Vestborg, a boarding school. There he met a lot friends. He lived in Stavanger for a couple years where he went to bibleschool and, worked both in the church and in sales on the side. The last few years he has been working in transportation and logistics in Fræna. He is now a part owner of Tornes Turbusser and TKT-Transport. They have 30 employees and 30 different trucks, busses etc.
Our Relationship
Carla and Filip first met in Molde in 2022. They instantly connected and felt that they could trust each other. Only a couple weeks after meeting, Carla was scheduled to go to Rome for 3 months because of her PhD. While apart, they continued to talk and stay in touch. Building trust and friendship.
The nice part comes now: Upon her arrival in Molde in January 2023, she was surprised by Filip at the airport. From that day they couldn’t stay apart anymore. And now they have decided to stay together for life.
